Oh man... my friends had a very uninvited party guest last weekend. They thought it was just a Halloween thing, but this is the same guy as before!

There's more!
Alex (aforementioned park-goer) sent over some video footage of his harrowing trip to the park. It certainly reinforces my stories... if you come across any other evidence of creepy knights stomping around as they please, definitely send it over to me.

I have proof!
I knew it. There had to be proof of the weirdness going on in my life lately. I found this video... this is actually the laundromat I've mentioned before. I'm in there all the time. I know it like the back of my hand. Check this out:

Phone calls...
All's well... NOT. I got a phone call in the middle of the night. Disoriented, I reached for the phone... on the other end of the line, I hear booming sounds of cataclysmic proportions and then a voice. In a low, desperate grumble, I hear a man say, "Do not fear what lurks in the shadows. Embrace your visions. In the shadows you will find refuge, reaching your full potential as a blood assassin. Help us. We need you."... or something like that. Admittedly, I was tired. Give me a break... I apologize that I didn't transcribe the call at 4am.
I also got an email from a guy named Alex who mentioned that his visit to the park was interrupted by some goofy cosplay guy in a knight outfit. Is it related to the sword I found? Was it the same cosplay guy -- possibly misunderstood and simply lost in some role-playing event that took him into the depths of my basement dungeon -- whose sword I now have hanging above my fireplace?

All's well.
It's been a pretty uneventful few days. We've been having a great time playing around with the sword we found; I should sell it to the comic shop downtown haha. They sell these things for like $400! I'm still trying to figure out what this "broken lands" business is all about... Either way... no noises lately, no strange shadows, nothing. It's almost boring.

Taking a break from being scared...
To play some games! There are a ton of great games coming out this month... on nearly every platform, for that matter. Jenny and I do spend most of our time on our PSPs, though; it's just handy to be able to play games while we're sitting on the bus, in class (three cheers for a college education!) or whatever. And the PSP is getting sooooo many good games in the next little while. You've got you steal-cars-and-be-a-gangster games, your navy seals games and the waste-time-playing-little-mini-games games. But me, I'm an RPG girl, so Dungeon Siege: Throne of Agony has me as excited as an ogre at the dermatologist. It looks like it'll be a really good action-RPG. The previews I've seen have all been positive. From the GameSpot preview (in August, no less, so you know the team has done some work since then):
Sounds good to me! EB says it's shipping on October 30. If I run into you on the street and you have it, let's play! :)

Since the primary action in the game is hacking-and-slashing, it's encouraging that the game looks so good at this point. Particularly impressive are the smooth visuals and animation, especially as your character romps along the countryside. And, in some cases, the PSP version has better lighting effects than those seen in the PC version. 2K senses that there's an opening in the action role-playing genre on the PSP, and from what we've seen, Throne of Agony could fill that gap quite nicely.

Nightmares Really Do Come True
You know, my life is really taking a turn for the bizarre this last week and I'm starting to really get freaked out by it all. Tonight has me really anxious.
After a really long day working, I was so tired and went to bed pretty early. Of course, my sleep just had to be interrupted--this awful noise kept coming from the basement. I have to admit, I was a little 'fraidy cat so I got my neighbor Brad to go and check it out. Hey--I'm a little shook up from that creepy note that I found in my jeans.
So Brad went downstairs (I made him take his cell phone for evidence). My god. There was so much noise and I could hear him yelling and someone running from the building. Apparently, some freak was down there in my locker. He (or she) pushed Brad into the dark and then ran off, leaving a sword behind. I dunno, but this is really screwed up. I'm seriously scared and I don't know what to do.
We uploaded the video here, so let me know what you think I should do . . . is this the same person who left me that note?

Words from the Weird
So Jenny finally got around to sending me that picture we took of the note I found in my jeans. Weeeeeeeird. Does whoever wrote this note think I'm actually going to be meeting them in the "broken lands?" I really have no clue as to what that means. One more reason why I can't wait to go on vacation.
For now, I'll settle for some rocky road ice cream and tv.

I'm not just paranoid, right?
Since the shadow incident, I've been a little on edge... maybe it's driven me to chronic paranoia. I was at the laundromat, waiting for my laundry and playing around on my PSP... everything's going fine, the time's flying, my clothes are getting dry... and then the PSP shuts down and the dryer stops. Fine. We got hit by an EMP or something. So I figure since my clothes are close enough to being dry, I'd just take them out and go home.
But nooooo... that can't possibly be the end of it. I found a note in my jeans that simply says "meet me in the broken lands." Now... while Jenny and I did hit the clubs on the weekend... I'm pretty sure I'd remember getting this thing. I'm going to get Jenny to come over so she can take a picture.

This is weird.
So sure, it was Friday the 13th this weekend, and Halloween is just a couple weeks away. Maybe I'm just in a yellow-bellied-coward mindframe. Doesn't matter, though. Jenny and I got back to my place on Saturday night/morning and almost set ourselves up for another trip to the laundromat when we saw the door. We took this picture that night, and since then the shadow's gone.... of course. That said, it probably shouldn't have been there in the first place. Most. Scared. Ever.

TGIF
ooooh, 20 hits! I'm so popular! Well, Jenny and I are going to hang out for a bit tonight... maybe play some games and then hit the clubs. Should be fun!

Is this color working for me?
I don't know if I'm feeling the lipstick-pink blog theme. I guess I'll give it a shot for a bit. If someone reads this thing (and I'm not talking about you, Jenny!!!) and cares to comment, please do. I'm really more of a fuscia.
Laundromats
Some people want a house so they can have privacy. Other people want one so they can show it off to all their non-house-owning friends. Not me. I want one so I don't ever have to set foot in a laundromate ever again. I hate laundromats. Simple as that. There aren't really any cool coffee shops or anything around my apartment... and considering the laundromat is just around the corner, there's nothing to do while I wait for my unmentionables to get clean. So it's boring... but that's not the worst part. Is it so hard for people to just leave laundry in a machine? I know I don't wanna go rifling through some dude's underwear just to save a few minutes. I'll wait, thanks. I've never had anything go missing, so I guess that's a good thing. Either way. Laundromats. Not for me.
